Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel

Wood Panel Grilles

The architects at ZGF Architects LLP designed the new Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel in Oregon. The ceiling features Rulon International’s custom wood panel grille ceilings. The main two-story ceiling features overlapping gull wing panels covering the entire ceiling area. Another panel grille section runs down a wall that connects the larger ceiling with a hallway that features radiused, or serpentine, panel grilles. The installers, Fred Shearer and Sons, Inc., spent a great deal of time pre-planning and coordination with Rulon. This complex job was simplified by the pre-planning and extensive use of 3D modeling, which resulted in a stunning ceiling.
